Spirent Vertex® Multi-Band High Frequency Converter 3.0

3GPP has identified a number of new bands in the sub-millimeter Wave (Sub-mmW) and millimeter Wave bands, namely n257, n258, n259, n260, n261, and n262. Natively, Radio Frequency (RF) channel emulators (CE) cannot reach those frequency bands. RF impairments can be introduced with regular CEs by using High Frequency Converters (HFC). HFCs perform two operations, namely, downconvert signals from Sub-mmW and mmW bands to RF bands, and upconvert signals from RF bands to Sub-mmW and mmW bands. The operations are performed via mixers whose input signals are the RF or mmW signals and a Local Oscillator (LO), and output signals are the upconverted or downconverted mmW or RF signals respectively.
